A Comparative Market Analysis is an informal assessment of a property's
market value. A Broker, Real Estate Agent or Realtor®
does this evaluation to establish a reasonable listing price when a
property is placed for sale.

The listing price is determined by comparing the property to similar properties that have sold in the area within the
past year. Sellers can use a CMA to help determine a fair market value for
their property. Buyers can use a CMA to help them decide what to offer on
a listing they want to buy.
